To celebrate the 85th anniversary of the Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal, we appealed to people who have an extraordinary gift. It’s called synesthesia. Synesthesia is a phenomenon whereby people experience an additional sense when the rest of us only experience one. For example, a synesthete may see musical notes as colors. With the help of synesthetes and sound engineers, we created a tool that translates music into colors. We developed "visual symphonies" to demonstrate the magic of synesthesia.
